LIFO
LIFO is a technical acronym used almost exclusively within the domains of accounting, logistics, and computer science. In a financial context, it describes a specific inventory valuation method that can be strategically used to lower tax liabilities during inflationary periods by recording the cost of the most recently acquired items first.
