lot
lot は文脈によって意味が大きく異なるため、使い分けに注意が必要です。最も一般的なのはたくさんという量を示す用法ですが、これは常に a lot of や lots of という形で名詞を修飾するか、a lot 単独で副詞的に使われます。
Countable when referring to a physical piece of land, an auction item group ('Lot 42'), or tokens used for gambling/chance. Uncountable (though typically appearing as 'a lot') when describing a general large quantity of something.
