Frankish
This term is a proper adjective derived from the Franks, and as such, it must always be capitalized. It is used primarily in historical, archaeological, and linguistic contexts to describe the culture, political entities, and speech of the Germanic tribes that established the Merovingian and Carolingian dynasties.
It should not be confused with the common adjective "frank," meaning honest or open. While "frank" describes a personality trait or a style of communication, "Frankish" refers specifically to a distinct ethnic and historical identity.
