hornless
This term is primarily used in agricultural and veterinary contexts to describe livestock, such as cattle, goats, or sheep. It describes a physical state that can be either innate, resulting from genetic breeding (polled), or artificial, resulting from the surgical removal of horns (dehorning).
In a technical farming register, "hornless" is a neutral descriptive term. It is often contrasted with "horned" animals. Because it describes a permanent physical characteristic, it is almost exclusively used as an attributive adjective preceding the noun it modifies.
