This term is a specialized geological descriptor used primarily in petrology to categorize igneous rocks. It describes a texture where the mineral grains are visible to the naked eye, which serves as a diagnostic indicator that the magma cooled slowly deep underground (intrusive), allowing crystals ample time to grow.
